Traditional vanilla biscuits

Advent is a time for baking, and these crunchy and delicious vanilla biscuits are a must!


250 g flour
170 g finely chopped almonds
200 g butter
80 g sugar
1 egg yolk
NO baking powder!


  • Step 1

    Mix the ingredients into a consistent dough and chill for a short time.
  • Step 2

    Shape into small balls, flatten them a bit and score them with the back of a knife.
  • Step 3

    Bake in the oven at 180°C until the biscuits are golden brown.
  • Step 4

    Roll them in a mixture of vanilla flavouring and granulated sugar while they’re still warm, as then the mixture will be sure to stick.
